A mileage record that remembers the showing, not just the drive

A practical way to review your Real Estate trips, connect supporting records, and prepare a clear export without rebuilding your week from memory.

Real Estate tools are available in the latest App Store version of OfferIQ. This guide describes the Real Estate workflow in that update.

Your route tells you where you went. The business purpose tells you why. Keeping both with the record makes it easier to review a day of showings, inspections, client meetings, and errands later.

OfferIQ keeps the mileage log and the supporting business records together. It does not replace your CRM or decide whether a trip or expense qualifies for a deduction.

A short review at the end of the day

  1. 1
    Check the recorded drives

Review the date, route, distance, and vehicle. Add missing trips manually and correct incomplete records while the day is still familiar.

  2. 2
    Save a complete purpose

Keep Business, Commute, Personal, and Unclassified separate. For business driving, choose the Real Estate purpose that describes the work. Review mixed trips by segment instead of applying one label to the entire drive.

  3. 3
    Connect the context

Link the relevant property or client and add useful notes. Record business expenses separately with their date, category, amount, and any receipt evidence.

  4. 4
    Resolve review items before exporting

Check incomplete purposes and any remaining warnings. Export raw trip and expense data for free, or use Pro for detailed mileage, annual vehicle, and accountant PDF/CSV packages.

Use the purpose that fits the work

Real Estate purposes include showings and buyer tours, open houses, listing appointments, inspections, closings, property preparation, client meetings, and business errands. A generic Business label with no purpose stays incomplete.

If a drive changes from business to personal use, keep those parts separate. A full-trip label should not overwrite the details of a mixed drive.

  • Use notes for context you will want when reviewing the record later.
  • Check the assigned vehicle and any available odometer evidence.
  • A saved property or client gives context; a place name alone does not prove business use.

Keep expenses in their own ledger

Manual expense entry is free. Save a date, category, amount, notes, and optional trip, property, or client link. Receipt evidence can support the record.

Pro can extract suggested receipt text on your device. You review and confirm it before the expense is saved. OfferIQ keeps expenses separate from standard-mileage estimates; their combined total is not presented as a deduction.

Choose how much assistance you want

You can track and review mileage without sharing your Calendar or Contacts. With Pro, optional Calendar rules can classify a completed trip when the appointment match is clear. Ambiguous evidence stays in review, and explicit classifications remain protected.

Pro bulk review lets you inspect selected trips and confirm a complete purpose together. Individual review stays free. A selected contact can be linked to a client, but OfferIQ does not bulk-import your address book; the contact link is specific to each device.

Export records you have checked

Free exports include raw trip CSV and the separate expense ledger. Pro adds detailed mileage and annual vehicle CSV files plus an accountant PDF package. Check the completeness warnings before sharing.

The package is a set of tax-preparation records and estimates. Review classification and deduction decisions with your tax professional; OfferIQ does not file a return or guarantee a deduction.

Keep a useful record of the work behind the miles.
